The tip of the tie, often considered its “face,” is precisely cut so that the silk pattern aligns beautifully at a 45-degree angle with the blade.
All shaping and pressing are performed entirely by hand, creating a soft, rounded texture rather than a flat finish. To prevent wrinkles and ensure an elegant knot, each tie contains a carefully selected wool interlining. This natural material is durable and helps maintain the tie’s quality over time.

At Ginza HIKO, we go further to enhance comfort: among various wool interlinings, we use the thinnest and lightest type available, and we order our ties with specified blade widths and overall lengths. The result is a lighter, more flexible necktie—an expression of true handmade originality beyond any industrial standard.

After final pressing and a rigorous quality inspection, each tie emerges as a crystallization of passion.
