Stingray products are made by polishing the surface and using softly tanned leather, but due to its hardness, it is said to be difficult to process except for a limited number of highly skilled craftsmen. Akunus has a unique technique for rounding the corners of the surface protrusions, resulting in a smoother and more lustrous surface than regular stingray leather.
