DORIANI

[DORIANI] Vicuna knit sweater, V-neck, navy, thin, dor0002

¥673,200

[ "A Vicuna Beyond Vicuna"]

Vicuña is known as the "jewel of fibers" and the "fiber of the gods" (see separate article below for details). Conventional items have the same thickness as regular high-gauge cashmere knitwear (28-ply yarn), but this navy color is about half as thin (60-ply yarn). This quality is unique to materials from CARIAGGI, a prestigious spinning manufacturer that supplies yarn to world-famous brands. With a smooth, fine texture that clings to the skin and a beautiful silk-like luster, this piece should truly be called "vicuna beyond vicuña." Even customers who say "I already have a vicuña knitwear" are surprised and ask, "What is this?!"

[Across a wide range of seasons]

It's a very thin high gauge knit that you can see through, so it doesn't feel bulky even when worn under a jacket, and it creates a neat silhouette. In early spring, you can layer it with a shirt or T-shirt, and you can enjoy it for a long season from autumn to winter to spring.

[ "The Fiber of God" ]

Vicuna is a premium material also known as the "fiber of the gods." The fineness of its fibers is equivalent to Super230's. Vicunas, which live at altitudes of about 3,700 to 5,000 meters in the Andes Mountains in South America, were extremely valuable and only royalty could wear them during the Inca Empire. Due to their rarity, many vicuñas were hunted by poachers, and their population drastically decreased, and in modern times, they are protected by the Peruvian government. Under government management, fur can be harvested from vicuñas, but it can only be harvested once every two years. And only about 250g can be harvested from one adult animal. In fact, it is said that less than 150g of fiber remains after the hair-straightening process.

[DORIANI]

The brand originated from an atelier that specialized in making high-quality belts and leather goods in the 1930s. After the war, under the company name "STORM", the company began specializing in Italy's first raincoats and heavy clothing, and in the 1970s, the third generation launched the brand "DORIANI", which is committed to making elegant, high-quality men's clothing. At the time, the men's clothing market was dominated by British styles, but the company pursued "Made in Italy" and developed luxurious products using the finest materials. Currently, the company offers a full range of wear, with a focus on knitwear such as cashmere.
