Alan Payne's cashmere is made from only the finest fibers from cashmere goats that live in the high mountain regions. The soft undercoat is carefully combed and only a small amount is collected from each goat. With over 100 years of experience, 70 craftsmen are involved and go through 48 processes to create masterpieces of knitwear. Thin and soft, the gentle comfort of cashmere is perfect for relaxing off-time. Shell buttons add a touch of luxury.

In 1907, ALAN PAINE's predecessor, "Paines of Godalming," was founded in Surrey, England, a county with a long history in the wool industry. After World War II, in the 1950s, the company expanded into the United States with funding from the British government. The company also undertakes OEM production of sweaters for a long-established, historic brand favored by successive American presidents. Around the same year, the brand name was changed to the current "ALAN PAINE," and the historic brand continues to provide high-quality knitwear to this day.
